Based in Mountain View, CA, Samsung Research America (SRA) develops next generation technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Security, VR/AR, IoT, Robotics and FinTech.
As a member of the Technology Strategy team, you will work closely with our research labs and executive leadership to drive innovation, advise potential market opportunities and collaborate with academic institutions, start-ups, venture partners and leading companies in Silicon Valley.
The Strategy team’s contribution to the fundamental research being done at Samsung Research America includes developing business cases and product roadmaps, sourcing and building key industry partnerships, detailing competitive analysis and industry models. Our thought leadership is anchored by detailed diligence and robust data analytics.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams to execute the application of fundamental research to new solutions, products and use cases
Take ownership of strategic initiatives with academic research institutes to execute joint ventures and collaborative projects
Build and deliver project roadmaps and executive presentations
Define new product visions for the research labs at SRA
Through a data intense approach, determine resource allocation for R&D efforts at SRA
Build business cases and go-to-market strategies for emerging technologies and products
Background and Experience Required
0-3 years in software development, top-tier consulting or banking, Pre-MBA
Knowledge of emerging technologies in multiple verticals
Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or EE
