Director, Total Rewards

The Director, Total Rewards will partner with Senior Leadership and the HR Team to deliver a compelling value proposition for the entire company. Reporting to the HRVP, the Director of Total Rewards will play a strategic role in the implementation of compensation and benefit programs.

Additionally, he or she will assist with the design, development, and implementation of existing and new total rewards initiatives, policies, and procedures to drive the achievement of company goals and ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs are in place.

 

Birds-eye view of the role:

  • Partners with business leaders to design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs that meet the needs of the company.
  • Develops, implements, and manages the strategic direction of base pay, variable pay, health and welfare plans, and other benefit/perk programs.
  • Provides technical expertise and proactive guidance to monitor and maintain competitive positioning, and to advance and scale Funding Circle's compensation and benefits programs to keep pace with the company's growth.
  • Works with external consultants and professional industry organizations to understand and benchmark market practices
  • Manages compensation surveys, conducts related analysis, researches market competitive practices, recommends new programs or enhancements based on cost/benefit analysis and benchmarking
  • Manages the planning and design of the annual compensation salary planning process.
  • Provides counsel on the creation and analysis of job descriptions to ensure internal and external equity.
  • Manages the annual open enrollment process, annual review and bidding process for plans, and benefits planning.
  • Makes certain that changes to retirement programs incorporate the company's strategic objectives, satisfy legal requirements, and achieve a balance between market practice, employee needs, and the company's ability to fund the plan.
  • Work closely with Internal Audit and Accounting departments to build and maintain compliant programs and procedures.
  • Monitors and implements changes to ensure compliance with global regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressively advancing Compensation and Benefits experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a compensation and benefits team with demonstrated coaching, mentoring, and problem solving skills required.
  • Expert knowledge of compensation salary planning, incentive programs, equity plans, and market pricing required
  • Compensation experience required with US markets
  • Knowledge in managing and maintaining retirement programs required - knowledge of 401(k) and pension plan management from start to finish required; to include project management, enrollment, vendor management, auditing, filings, training, education, and communication
  • Certified Compensation Professional designation (CCP) or advanced degree desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the MS Office Products; including advanced MS Excel skills required.
