Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud (Digital Health)

As a Server Developer, you will be responsible for taking the very best concepts through various stages of software development, to prove feasibility of a concept and to complete end-to-end functional software services. You will also be expected to help prove concept feasibility and provide input into the architecture of the services we build. If you love working directly on consumer-facing products and shipping what you build, we’d love to meet you.


  • Take full engineering responsibility from dev to test to prod.
  • Write clean, efficient code and deployment artifacts in Java or Python.
  • Work on optimizing the server infrastructure for performance and cost.
  • Perform DevOps tasks on AWS to ensure resiliency, availability, security, and HA/DR.
  • Review the application code to identify bottlenecks, suggest recommendations and implement the changes.
  • Actively participate in enhancing the server architecture to address changing needs.


  • 4-6 years of programming experience in Java.
  • Experience with RESTful Architecture.
  • Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS EMR, EC2, Redshift, S3).
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps solutions like Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible.
  • Experience in Hadoop development and administration, including managing and tuning Hadoop cluster and its ecosystem components (HDFS, Hbase, Spark, Phoenix, Zookeeper, Zeppelin, Ambari).
  • Experience with Hortonworks distribution.
  • Experience with tools to import and export data out of HDFS.
  • Experience in effectively modeling and storing data in HDFS.
  • Experience with source code management systems such as GIT.
  • Working knowledge of all phases of ETL (Extract, Transform and Load).
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Programming experience in Python, Shell is a Plus.
  • Having a Masters Degree is a Plus.
