Important information about internship applications:
We look for interns on an as-needed basis by individual research areas and labs. While we accept applications year-round, most of the intern members typically join during the summer. Applications for summer internships are generally reviewed in February, and most of the positions are filled by the end of April.
While a majority of SRA interns are pursuing a PhD degree, we also have positions available for undergraduate and Master students in various teams working on projects directly associated with our products.
Technical Intern candidates must demonstrate strong academic achievement in fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant disciplines with a focus on technology.
PhD intern candidates must possess top technical expertise as demonstrated by journal publications, conference participation, and previous experience (i.e. internships or full-time roles).
Design intern candidates must have solid academic background in Graphic Design, HCI, Industrial Design, or related field, and present examples they can show that demonstrate consistent design, strategic creative thinking, and be able to articulate why they made specific decisions.
