Senior User Experience Researcher

We are looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher who is passionate about delivering leading-edge interactive entertainment experiences on TV and mobile devices to join our product design team. Senior UX researchers independently plan, design, and execute end-to-end research agendas from concept generation through product release. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record generating user insights, translating insights into feature requirements, conducting rigorous evaluations, and communicating findings to stakeholders.  Senior UX researchers must work effectively with designers, program managers, and hardware and software engineers in a highly collaborative environment. This position demands an individual that is organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven. Strategic thinking and creativity are critical attributes. Highly polished visual and verbal presentation skills are a must.

Required qualifications:

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Experimental or Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • Experience in TV/video, audio entertainment, social applications, and/or other home consumer electronics   
  • 5+ years of industry experience conducting user experience research
  • Experience planning end-to-end research strategy aligned with product planning, design, and development cycles
  • Expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative user research methodologies (e.g. usability testing and experimental design, heuristic and competitive analysis, surveys, analytics, A/B testing, eye tracking, diary and ethnographic studies)
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and familiarity with statistical packages used for analysis (SPSS, etc.)
  • Facility for uncovering root causes of research outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to visualize and present rich research data simply and clearly
  • Clear and compelling communication to executive-level audiences

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced methods for exploring consumer behaviors and characteristics (Multidimensional Scaling, Factor Analysis, Regression Analysis, etc.)
  • Experience building and managing a sustainable base of design research knowledge
